Agnes May Hepburn, 97, formerly of Joseph, died May 27.
She was born April 30, 1914, the only child to Dick and Priscilla Kinney in Joseph. She grew up in Wallowa County, helping her parents with ranching and farming. She attended Catholic boarding school in La Grande.
She married A. Max "Bud" Hepburn in April 1935. They lived in Bend and returned to Joseph in 1941. Agnes was a full-time homemaker and partner in their family businesses - logging, ranching, the Daburn Variety Store and Arco Service Station in Joseph.
She loved to travel, shop, knit, crochet, cook and socialize with family and friends.
In her younger years, she was an avid hunter and fisherwoman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, in April 1979.
Survivors are her daughter, Cheryl Sparks of Bend; son, Dean Hepburn and his wife, Connie, of Damascus; and three grandchildren.
