Bertha M. Kubesh, 67, formerly of La Grande, died Jan. 22 after a two-year battle with cancer.
A celebration of life for Bertha Kubesh, formerly of La Grande, who died Jan. 22, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Northeast Oregon Transit Center, 2204 Pine St., La Grande.
Bertha was born Aug. 16, 1942. She worked for the La Grande School District as a cook at La Grande Middle School and La Grande High School, and also as a custodian at the high school. Bertha enjoyed dancing with the Star Promenaders Square Dance Club and Round-up City Cloggers of Pendleton.
Survivors include her husband, David Kubesh; daughters, Rhonda "Ronnie" Kubesh and Trina Whitley; and a son-in-law, Chad Whitley.
