Clyde "Colonel" Otis Lovell

Clyde Otis "Colonel" Lovell, 65, of Cove, died Sept. 26 at his residence. Services will be announced later.

Clyde was born Sept. 19, 1945, to Lloyd Allen and Mary Catherine (Lambie) Lovell at Pendleton. After graduating from high school, he became a cement finisher in the construction business.

He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 in Germany and received an honorable discharge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Lovell) Akery of Medford and Lisa (Lovell) McBride of Central Point; two brothers, Lloyd A. Lovell of Cove and Jesse James Lovell of La Grande; two sisters, Stephanie Connell and Mercedes Jones of Portland; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
