Dean Laurene Arbogast

Dean Laurene was born on August 11, 1931 in Long Creek the daughter of Virgil and Regna (Johnson) Cohoe. She was raised on the family ranch near Long Creek and was educated in the Long Creek schools, graduating with the class of 1949. On September 2, 1949 she was married to Leonard "Tuff" Arbogast in John Day. They made their home in Dale before moving to La Grande in 1970.

Dean was formerly a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She also enjoyed crocheting

Relatives who remain include her daughter-in-law, Earleen Arbogast of La Grande; grandsons, John Arbogast of Lewiston, Idaho and Justin Arbogast of Houston, Missouri. five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, her son Leonard Dean Arbogast in 2023 and a brother Jerry Cohoe.

Dean loved animals. When she was younger she had horses but she always had a cat and dog. Friends who wish may make contributions in her memory to the Blue Mtn. Humane Association, 3212 Hwy 30, La Grande, Oregon 97850.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Cemetery in La Grande.
