Delano Eugene Bolen, age 69, of Salem and formerly of La Grande died April 8, 2005. The funeral will begin at 11 am Wednesday at the Evangelical Chu8rch in Salem.
Mr. Bolen was born July 14, 1934 to Virgil and Opal Clark Bolen in Sciota, Illinois. He lived in La Grande for many years before moving to Salem in 1980. He was an administrator at Chemeketa Community College for 16 years before retiring in 1996. He and wife, Staryl, ran the Bolen Quarter Horse Farm. He was a member of the Salem Evangelical Church and enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife of Salem; children, Michael Bolen and James Bolen, both of Salem, Pamela Wolf of Seattle, Fallie Calder of Beaverton and Christine Chase of Scappoose; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Leon Bolen of Dallas and Lee Bolen of La Grande.
