Dennis Lester Robbs

April 10, 1931 — November 13, 2010

Dennis Lester Robbs, 79, of Myrtle Creek and formerly of La Grande, died of cancer Nov. 13.

He was born April 10, 1931, to Lester and Althea (Jones) Robbs in La Grande. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 27 at Creswell Presbyterian Church in Creswell.

He graduated from La Grande High School and received a master's degree in psychology from the University of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Navy as an apprentice seaman in the Korean War.

He was an iron worker and later became a psychologist for adult and children's services.

He volunteered as a Big Brother and was a member of the Elks Lodge in John Day.

He loved waterskiing, hunting, fishing, his cat and working on his farm in Myrtle Creek. He was a Little League baseball coach. He loved the University of Oregon Ducks.

Survivors include sons and their spouses, Douglas C. and Randi Robbs of Summerville and Dan J. and Kris Robbs of Creswell; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
