Dorothy E. Miller

Dorothy E. Miller, 83, died Sept. 28 at her home. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Loveland Funeral Chapel, 1508 Fourth St., La Grande. A viewing will run from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Loveland's.

Dorothy was born June 27, 1926, to Charles and Eva (Gray) Wood in La Grande. She was the youngest of five children. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She married Roy Miller June 29, 1942, in La Grande. They raised four children. Those who knew her say she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by sons, Don and his wife, Roberta, Bob and his wife, Darlene, and Dallas and his wife, DeLynn, all of La Grande; daughter, Joyce of Boise; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl, of Cove; and a sister, Frances, of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; parents; sister, Nell; and a brother, Earl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Society or the American Cancer Association.
