Evelleen Lucille (Towne) Johansen, 79, formerly of Union County, died Aug. 19 of pancreatic cancer at her home in Beaverton. A funeral Mass is planned for today at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard.
She was born Oct. 29, 1930, to Herman and Elsie Towne in Nyssa. She married David Johansen of Union on Sept. 23, 1950. They had four children: Debra, Amy, David and Eric. A fifth child, Patrick, died at 3 from a heart complication.
She is survived by her four children; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two grandsons; two step-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
