Francis "Zoom" J. Glasson

Francis J. "Zoom" Glasson, age 87, of Elgin died March 8, 2005 at his home. A graveside service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Highland Cemetery at Cricket Flats. Mr. Glasson was born on May 8, 1918, to James and Matilda Nelson Glasson in Elgin. He attended school in Elgin and on May 10, 1941, married Barbara J. Huffman in Weiser, Idaho. He was a longtime colunteer for the Elgin Rural Fire Department and a member of the VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his companion, Helen Chandler of Elgin; children and their spouses, Donnie & Sharon Glasson and Sharon and Lance Wilson, all of Elgin and Sandra and Butch Tanzey of Wallowa. His wife, a brother, Ralph Glasson and a sister, Isabela Morgan, died earlier.
