Garnet J. Goss, of Quincy, Massachusetts, formerly of La Grande, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at a hospice house in East Milton, Massachusetts surrounded by family. She was 73.
Services will begin Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Barn Estate Chapel. Committal and interment will be at the Summerville Cemetery followed by a gathering of family and friends at the White Barn.
Garnet Jean was born May 12, 1950 in La Grande, the daughter of Milo Jasper IV “Bill” and Donna Jean (Knight) Goss. She was raised and educated in La Grande, graduating with the La Grande Highschool class of 1968. She attended Roberts College in Istanbul where she met and married Dr. Adnan Kaleli.
Garnet was a businesswoman. In Quincy, Massachusetts she owned two physical therapy clinics and together with her sister, they owned properties in La Grande.
Though she was not a member of an organized church, Garnet was a very spiritual person. She was very passionate about community and charity, caring for those in need. She enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time at her home on the bay, playing board games and card games with family and friends but mostly sitting by the fire-pit and sipping wine and “hanging with her tribe!” She was the queen of gifting silly socks, dish towels and cocktail napkins.
Those greeting her in heaven will be her parents, Donna & Bill, niece Kailee Bolen and auntie Pat.
She leaves remaining family members her partner, Ali Beyranevand of Quincy, MA, daughter Kevser Breslin of Bridgehampton, NY, son Kaan Kaleli of Miami, FL, four grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Armaan Kaleli, Selin Kaleli, Sibelle Kaleli, Patrick Breslin, siblings, Milo Goss of Baker City, Mark Goss and Susie Hughes, both of La Grande, and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Garnet was generous to many charities and organizations but the most recent one that was dear to her heart is the Quincy Public Schools assistance for homeless and underserved children and youth. Contributions in her memory may be made in care of the Lincoln Hancock School, 200 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169
Thought and condolences may be left on her tribute page at www.danielsknopp.com
