James Edward Clark, Sr.

James Edward Clark, Sr. was born on March 11, 1948 to Donald and Bobby (Chestine) Clark in Stockton California.  He was raised in Northern California and attended school in Grass Valley.    On October 13, 1966 he was married to Pamela Phillips in Carson City, Nevada.  They moved to Union County Oregon in 1993 to be near family.  Jim drove truck most of his career throughout the entire western part of the country but completed his career as a delivery truck driver for Wallowa County Grain Growers until his retirement.

While he wasn't a member of a church, James was a devoted viewer and dedicated contributor to the 700 Club.  He was also a daily watcher of Fox News.  He enjoyed woodworking, gun collecting and loved fishing.  He was extremely fond of camping.  His later years he spent a lot of time in Troy, Oregon, fishing with dear friends, his son, and grandson.  He became a master steelhead fisherman.  

Family who remains are his children and their spouses, Jimmy and Mendy Clark of Union, Stacy and Rod McCall of La Grande; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several siblings.

Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his dear wife, the love of his life, Pam.  

James passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at his home in Island City.
