James L. Kratochvil

James L. Kratochvil, 56, of La Grande, died March 7 at his residence. A celebration of life will be held July 23 on the Snake River.

Known as Jim, he was born July 23, 1953, to Bernard and Margaret (Clay) Kratochvil in Baltimore City, Md. He moved to this area 29 years ago from Baltimore.

Jim loved camping, hunting and fishing and greatly enjoyed watching old western movies. He was also close with his dog Colonel.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, James and Bridget Kratochvil of La Grande, Tammy and Ryan Bloom, stationed in England, and Ray Kratochvil of La Grande; siblings, Sharon, Karen and Bernie, all of Baltimore; and four grandchildren.
