Joanne Irene Graham

May 22, 1951 — October 13, 2025

Corvallis, Oregon

Joanne Irene Graham was born in Corvallis, Oregon on May 22, 1951 to Lee and Betty Graham, and left this world on October 13, 2025. She spent her early years in Salem, before moving to La Grande, Oregon with her family when she was twelve years old. As a youth, she earned money picking berries and green beans, and moving sprinkler pipe in the Willamette Valley, and later, planting and shearing trees on her family’s tree farm in Wallowa County.

Joanne's parents built a small cabin at Wallowa Lake, where she and her siblings spent summers swimming, hiking, and enjoying the company of friends and family. Wallowa Lake would always remain her favorite place.

After graduating from La Grande High School and Oregon State University, Joanne settled in Corvallis and worked as a trainer for Sears, a job that took her around the western states.

Joanne's passion was growing flowers. She had an eye for designing a beautiful landscape. Some of her happiest moments were when she provided friends and neighbors with cuttings and plant starts. She loved wildlife, nature, and her family.

She is survived by her sister Connie Graham (Mike Scroggs), her brother Russ Graham (Linda), her nephew Ian, niece Laura (Brian Clark), and great nephew Ladd.

Donations in Joanne's name may be made to Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis, Oregon.
