Larry Yeske was one of twin boys born to Henry Frank and Marguerite Agnes (Ellis) Yeske on May 7, 1939 in Pendleton. Larry was raised and educated in La Grande and Baker. After graduating with the Baker High School class of 1957, he entered the United States Navy where he proudly served for four years. After his honorable discharge he returned to La Grand where he worked for Boise Cascade until he took an early retirement as a foreman in 1994.
Larry was long time member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in La Grande. He loved to ski, both downhill and cross country and served with the Anthony Lakes Ski Patrol. He loved cars, both antique and unique, including his white tiny white Fiat and his white Chevy HHR Panel with the gray arctic fox on the sides. Larry enjoyed golfing, drag races and camping. He and his wife Sharon enjoyed being camp hosts at the Deschutes State Park for many years, where Larry enjoyed fishing for steelhead.
Family members who remain are his wife Sharon; daughters, Sherry Jordan and Christy Davidson, all of La Grande; granddaughters, Keiva, Corrine and Blair.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother Dean Yeske.
