Leroy "Roy" Papenfuhs

LeRoy  'Roy' O. Papenfuhs, age 90, of La Grande, died. Friday, October 4, 2019 at a local care facility.  A memorial service will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels~Knop Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street in La Grande/

Roy was born on October 17, 1928  in Hastings, Minnesota the son of Paul and Mia (Deuchman) Papenfuhs.  On July 20, 1958 he married Floriece Connally in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He worked as a logger in various places and moved to La Grande in 2008.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Floriece Papenfuhs of La Grande; children, Tonnie Thompson of La Grande and Mark Papenfuhs of Beaverton; four grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
