M. Claudine Campbell

M. Claudine Campbell, 80, of Cove, died quickly and painlessly Aug. 24 at home in the arms of her husband and youngest son. No services are planned. She will be laid to rest with her husband at sea later.

Claudine was born Sept. 10, 1928, to Chris A. and Eloise Pearson in Council Grove, Kan.

She loved to cook, sew, garden and hunt, but most of all, she loved her family. She belonged to the Eastern Star of Eastern Oregon and the Eagles.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charles W. Campbell Sr.; her sons and their families, Forrest W. Gillen of Fairfield, Calif., Casey Gillen of Napa, Calif., Christopher A. Gillen of DeKalb, Texas, and Eric R. Gillen of Union; stepchildren and their families, Kevin Campbell of Fairfield, Calif., Charles "Chuck" Campbell Jr. of Vacaville, Calif., and Kim Campbell of Napa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
