Mary B. Hickman, 71, of Spokane and formerly of La Grande, died Oct. 3 surrounded by her family at her home after a three-year battle with breast cancer.
Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane.
Mary was born April 22, 1939, to Earnest and Helen (Spencer) Edlin in Spokane. Mary married Charles R. Hickman in Spokane on Dec. 22, 1956. They later divorced. They raised four children, Patty K. Hickman of Union, Charles R. (Bob) Hickman of Pendleton, Peggy D. Hickman-Sullivan of Spokane and Phillip S. Hickman of La Grande.
Mary is survived by her children; sisters, Faye Battin, Judy House and Ernine Frisbie, all of Spokane, and Sandy Smith of Moscow, Idaho; and a brother, Tony G. Edlin of Spokane. Mary was proceeded in death by her parents; sisters, Kay Cummings and Beth Bigley; and a great-grandson, Dillon Hickman.
