Michael Eugene Costner

Michael Eugene Costner, 33, of La Grande, died peacefully May 1 at home after a long battle with diabetes. At the request of the family, there will be no services.

Mike was born Feb. 8, 1978, to Clarence and Diana (Evans) Costner at Ontario. He attended La Grande High School. He married Holly Hilton. They later divorced. He then married Samantha Pallis.

Mike was a "gamer." He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and reloading.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha; children, Veronica Costner of Elgin, Taylor Costner of Portland and Mariah Costner of La Grande; parents, Clarence Costner and Diana Wood of Payette, Idaho; brothers and their spouses, Christopher Evans of La Grande, Cody and Denea Evans of Kennewick, Daniel and Crystal Evans of La Grande and Jason Evans of Payette; former sister-in-law, Dusty Evans, who cared for him during his illness; and many nieces and nephews.
