Myrna Gail Sabey

Myrna Gail Sabey, 68, of Cove, died Feb. 12 in Boise. A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bramlet Cemetery in Wallowa. Officiating will be Weldon J. Shuman. Following the service, family and friends will gather for a memorial potluck dinner at the Wallowa Senior Center.

One of 10 children, Myrna was born Nov. 19, 1942, to Benjamin and Cora Skillings in Wallowa. She and her husband, Jim Sabey, had five children and were married for 53 years.

Many people thought of Myrna as their adoptive mother or grandmother. A caring and loving woman, she will be greatly missed by those who knew her, her family said.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jackey; sisters, Mina Shuman and Winifred English; and brothers, Ray and Darrell Skillings. Survivors include her husband, Jim Sabey; sister, Carolyn Pfeaster; brothers, Vern, Neal, Johnny and Kenneth Skillings; children, Jimmy, Johnny, Tammy and Chrissy; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
