Nellie M. Heryford, 91, of La Grande died June 2 at a local care center. No services will be held.

Mrs. Heryford was born Nellie Fisher on Nov. 7, 1912, in Cove. She attended school there and married Glen Heryford on Sept. 28, 1945. The couple moved to La Grande in 1980. She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Arizona, playing cards and fishing. She was a charter member of the Cove Sportsman's Club, and was a member of the Union VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of La Grande and other relatives. A sister died earlier.
