Pauline A. Marshall

Pauline Alice was born on February 16, 1931 in Weiser, Idaho to Frank and Bessie Kathryn (Lane) Gardner.  She was raised and educated in Huntington.  In 1952 she was married to Glen R. Marshall.  They made their home in La Grande where Pauline worked at Jody's Fabric store as a clerk and taught tailoring.  In 1973 they moved to Hermiston where she worked at a fabric store also  They later moved to Omaha, Nebraska then Vancouver, Washington before she returned to La Grande three years ago.  

Pauline’s greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed doing many arts and crafts and was an accomplished seamstress. She made everything from cheerleading outfits to prom dresses to baby blankets. She took great delight in passing on her knowledge and skills to her grandchildren.

Remaining relatives include her children & their spouses, Larry & Diane Marshall of Huntington, Paula & Tom Hatfield of Edmonds, Washington, Lane & Brenda Marshall of La Grande, Randy & Karen Marshall of Sandpoint, Idaho and Scott Marshall of Vancouver, Washington; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and a brother Robert Gardner.

Pauline passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 at her home in La Grande at the age of 94.

A private family gathering will be planned at a later time.
