Raymond Franklin Price

October 26, 1953 — April 30, 2011

Raymond Franklin Price, age 57, of La Grande and formerly a long time resident of Baker County, died April 30, 2011 at his home. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at LDS Church on Hughes Lane in Baker City.

Raymond was born on October 26, 1953, the son of John and Erma (Jacobs) Price in Santa Cruz, California. He moved to Baker in 1969. While living in Baker he spent 22 years working for Safeway and received the first Mayors Hospitality award as head checker. When not working he enjoyed coaching and umpiring Little League Baseball. You could also find him spending his Sundays watching Nascar, which he admired dearly. Other hobbies and interests include jet skiing, camping, fishing, making people smile and touching many hearts.

Raymond is survived by the love of his life, Brenda Tibbetts; brothers, Norman Price of Wayne, Michigan and John Price of Baker City; sister, Cathy Robbs of Boise; sons, Raymond Price of Boise and Kyle Price of Portland; granddaughter, Sophia Price and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
