Richard O. Schlichting

Richard, 'Dick', of La Grande, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the age of 89. Richard leaves his wife, Mary Lou after 64 years of marriage; four children, William J. Schlichting of Union Union, Oregon, Jan Marie Carris of Madera, California, Margaret Stewart of Oakhurst, California and Mark Schlichting of Lexington, Oregon; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Richard and Mary Lou have resided in La Grande since 1992.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in La Grande. Those who wish may make contributions in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, OR 97850.
