Robert Harold Bonney was born on October 11, 1932 in Bend to Marion Earl and Signe Siegfryda (Briemo) Bonney.  After high School he entered the U.S. Air Force but before he completed his basic training his father died and his mother needed him at home.  He worked for several years as a Baker in a Portland bakery.  Later he became a concrete contractor in the building industry. Here in Union County, Robert was the successful owner of Bonney’s Concrete for over three decades and proudly taught all of his sons the concrete trade. Robert owned the Taco Sack, Bonney's Attic thrift store in Elgin and later Bonney's Video, video rental store.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, etc. but mostly he loved to hunt. One of his best memories was the year he and his son Ron harvested a six point branch bull elk.  When he was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles but all of his life he was a hard worker.
