Robert Steven Sloan, 54, of La Grande, died Dec. 17 at his residence. No services are planned at this time.
Robert was born April 16, 1956, to Robert Franklin and Marylene Lavone (Semerau) Sloan at San Francisco. He attended Sir Francis Drake High School in California before moving to Oregon. On Aug. 26, 1978, he married Deborah Elaine Soldavini.
He was employed with the La Grande School District for 28 years.
Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, rafting, camping and spending time with his family.
He was an all-around sportsman, enjoying softball, baseball and football.
Robert is survived by his wife, Deborah; his children and their spouses, Joseph Gerald and Carrie Sloan, Robert Steven Sloan Jr.., and Bryon David and Samantha Sloan, all of La Grande; three grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and sister, Sharon Sloan.
