Sandra Louise was born on November 9, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Herbert Ellsworth and Carolyn (Eccles) Schlosser. After graduating from high school in Orem, Utah, in 1977 she later attended Utah State University. She resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aberdeen, South Dakota, Orem, Utah, Logan, Utah, and cities in southern Utah including Hurricane and St. George. She later moved to Baker City, Oregon, and Cove, Oregon, before settling in La Grande, Oregon, about two years ago.
Sandra worked as a delivery driver, professional seamstress, baker, store cashier, and waitressed in restaurants. Most recently she prepared food for the Island City Market and Deli until illness forced her retirement about a year and half ago.
Sandra was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also belonged to the Eagles and Elks lodges. She was artistic and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, spending time with her family, fishing, and the outdoors.
Relatives who remain are her children Shawn Thomas Lahammer of Mapleton, Utah, Kimberly Ann Higginson of Logan, Utah, Taren Leigh Christensen of La Grande, Brittney Marie Christensen of Baker City; step children Kyle Fletcher, Natasha Christensen, and Kerry Christensen; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings Herbert Todd Schlosser of Mesquite, Nevada, and Karen Diane Schlosser of Orem, Utah.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Stanley (Butch) Christensen, brother, Anthony Price Schlosser, daughter, Tavia C.V. Christensen, and a grandson, Thomas Harley Ruben Christensen.
