William Don Shade, 89, of Eugene and formerly of La Grande, died Nov. 28. No services are planned.
He was born Jan. 20, 1921, in La Grande.
He attended La Grande High School and graduated in 1939.
He married Aletha Gieber. She preceded him in death.
He served in the 10th Mountain Infantry Division in Italy in World War II. He worked as a regional director for the IRS.
