Patrick Lynn Noble, formerly of Cove, passed away July 18, 2023, in Hillsboro, his three sons at his side. Pat was born to Harold and Loretta Noble in Cassville, Missouri, March 17, 1951, the fourth of six children. Moving to Cove in 1957, Patrick, an active and mischievous child, spent his youth fishing, hiking, rock collecting and hunting. He was an avid reader, excelled at math and possessed a strong work ethic, working for local farmers from an early age. After attending EOC and Mt. Hood Community College, most of Pat’s career was as a machinist at Sulzer Bingham in Portland. After traveling the U.S., Pat became a talented photographer and carpenter, making the crib each of his sons rested in. Although often irreverent, Patrick read the Bible through twice and had interest in world religions, philosophy, history and politics. As a father, he prioritized his family above all else. His love for sons and grandchildren fueled Patrick through many medical challenges. His sense of mischief and humor brought joy to their lives; his quiet, steady presence offered a comfort and security they will always cherish. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Carol June Noble. He is survived by his sons, Aaron (Eman), Jacob and Alex Noble; beloved grandchildren, Lina, Theo and Niko Noble; brother, Cecil Noble; sisters, Linda Dow, Frances Jacklin and Karen Collins; and nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces. Interment will be at the Cove Cemetery. Friends are invited to a celebration of Pat’s life beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Cove Christian Camp.
